Mother’s Day +1

How was yours?  Did you do anything awesome?

Ours was pretty cool.  Had a great time at church and then went to my parent’s house and ate and hung out with the fam.  Then followed it up with a great time watching The Office with Lisa last night.

In case you missed it

Yesterday was Pastor Joe’s birthday.  He is now entering the stage of life called the “pre-30’s”.  Make sure you give him a call or send him an email to congratulate him on staying alive this long.

Rage Against the Lameness pt. 7

I totally stumbled upon these guy from out of the blue.  I mean, I couldn’t even retrace my steps to where I started from, but honestly, why would I want to?  The Reign of Kindo is an amazing grouping of musicians.  You just do not hear progressive jazz mixed with rock done very well and have it feel and sound relevant to today.  These guys nail it! Their entire EP is up for listening on their myspace page and you can even download one of the songs for free, win win win. Definitely check them out, especially if you listen to music while working.  Just open up their page and enjoy it.

Let me know what you think of it.

Crazy week…God is good

Last week for me was very strange, well I guess strange is an understatement.  On Wednesday I found out that my Grandfather had passed away.  It’s one of those things that, he and I were not really that close due   to him living in Arizona, but it still affects you.  I know that it is hard on my Dad even though he won’t show it much.  I do not know what I would do if I lost my Dad, he is great.  So that happened Wednesday and Friday Lisa, myself and several others spent all day at Emanuel Hospital waiting for my nephew Kyle to join us.  He was born around 7:30 pm and is a big dude!  Its weird to lose someone and meet someone for the first time is such a close proximity.  It’s hard to know how to weed through the different emotions.

Those emotions I felt pour out to God during my, and our time, of worship Sunday morning.  I was able to let go and be free with God.  The band did an amazing job of worshipping God and leading others.  We know that it was not of our power that we were able to do that, but through the grace of God.  It is by His grace that we can even approach him.

I look forward to all that comes this week and I look forward to our time of joining together as the Church to worship God and His Son Jesus Christ on Sunday.

Shout to the “American Idol”

I turned it off too soon.  If you saw this, I’d love to hear what you thought and what you think now.

Post Strike Office

Well, it has been months since the writer’s strike started and a short time since it ended and the best show on television starts back up tonight.  Lisa and I, like many in the church and the world are huge fans of The Office and are stoked that it will premiere the first episode of the second half of the season tonight at 9pm.  I hear it is going to awesome.

Send me a message tomorrow and let me know what you thought of the episode.

Updated myspace page

The Stones of Jordan (our church house band) has updated the look of their myspace page and it is looking awesome.  It is not totally finished yet but will be soon.  Check it out and take your myspace friendship there.

My First Concert

I have just read an article that I thought was somewhat amusing.  It turns out that the New Kids on the Block are re-uniting for a concert to celebrate the 2oth anniversary of their album Hangin’ Tough.  Now normally this would be of no interest to me but my first concert was the New Kids on the Block.  My sister was a HUGE NKOTB fan and she got tickets to the concert for her birthday, and we all went.  I vaguely remember it because I was fairly young, but yeah I was there.  I cannot over-emphasize the influence NKOTB has had on me as a person and a musician….right.  Anyway if you are stoked about this check out the article.  NKOTB    Let me know what your first concert was.  Or your best concert.
