UPDATE: Search Team

So it’s been a while since we have had an update from the Pastoral Search Team and I wanted to give the faithful readers out there in blog-dom an early scoop as to the progress of the process.
After reviewing several resumes one applicant seems to stand out from the rest and the committee will be moving [...]

Flow

With the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the river. We are so blessed in the Northwest to have several awesome rivers really close, and when it’s hot I am happy to enjoy them all I can.

Time Away

This week has the makings of being fairly quiet around to old office.  Pastor Joe is off on vacation from today until next Monday(so don’t call him), this is a very important time for him.  The Life Group I am a part of has just recently started going through the book of Hebrews and we [...]

In case you missed it

Yesterday was Pastor Joe’s birthday.  He is now entering the stage of life called the “pre-30’s”.  Make sure you give him a call or send him an email to congratulate him on staying alive this long.

Rage Against the Lameness pt. 7

I totally stumbled upon these guy from out of the blue.  I mean, I couldn’t even retrace my steps to where I started from, but honestly, why would I want to?  The Reign of Kindo is an amazing grouping of musicians.  You just do not hear progressive jazz mixed with rock done very well and have [...]

Updated myspace page

The Stones of Jordan (our church house band) has updated the look of their myspace page and it is looking awesome.  It is not totally finished yet but will be soon.  Check it out and take your myspace friendship there.

Less than 4 Days

There are fewer than 4 days of inviting that can be done prior to Easter.  Make the most of each encounter with friends, co-workers and family.  People are just more willing to come to a church on Easter, but people often need an invite to make that actually happen.
I was talking with a pastor yesterday [...]

The Horizon

On the horizon is a big time opportunity.

Proximity Conference

For the past two days Matt and I attended an evangelism conference here in Gresham. From this conference I came away with a fresh charge to do whatever it takes to remain relevant in our community. This is a tricky thing because, chances are at some point what I like, is not going to be [...]

Mr. Right

Invite your friends to hear Erik Foster speak this week about Mr. Right. He will be outlining what the Bible says about who is qualified to be a pastor. And the graphic Joe has done is really awesome…top shelf. Maybe with some encouraging comments, he might post it.
